Not all models make it to the big league but some just start there. In February '06, Chanel Iman made her runway debut in NYC for heavy hitters: Anna Sui, Derek Lam, Marc Jacobs, and Proenza Schouler.

Now, at the tender age of 19, Chanel Iman is considered to be Phillip Lim's muse. How does one go about getting a title like Muse? Well, I would imagine you start by being fierce 24/7.

I don't think it hurts either that Chanel Iman is able to call model-legends Tyra Banks and Iman, "personal friends". Iman (who she was fortuitously named after) even interviewed her for an article in Vibe magazine in March of '07. Now that's major.
