By now, you've probably heard about the photo shoot that Michelle Williams did for the Band of Outsiders lookbook. It was done using Polaroids, no hair or make up artists, and one stylist on hand- just in case. Some people have been saying that the result looks too similar to an American Apparel or Marc Jacobs campaign but I think there's something refreshing about it. We live in a time where the rich and famous are fearful of being caught without layers and layers of make-up on and all of the right accessories. You can't really fake beauty or style with a low budget Polaroid shoot. I give it an A for effort and execution.
The last photo is my favorite.

i think the quality is similar to a marc jacobs shoot. but, totally different set up and concepts. marc jacobs are usually less happening in the shoot. and close up shots. and i don't see any american apparel influence at all? haha. i think the lookbook is awesome. i love michelle.
I love them. It is similar to an MJ shoot, but that is because MJ is mimicking polaroids! ^_-
