Ruslana Korshunova, July 2, 1987 - June 28, 2008
Ruslana Korshunova was killed yesterday in Manhattan, in a fall that is still under investigation by police. The Kazakhstani model walked the runway for Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Nini Ricci. Korshunova was widely believed to be a rising star in the fashion industry and at the age of 20 had already graced the cover of Vogue magazine. Her campaign for Vera Wang is among my favorites. Known for her trademark smirk and tremendously long hair, Korshunova will surely be missed.

Jillian, my deepest sympathy goes out to the family,friends and fans of Ms. Korshunova. What a terrible loss.
I understand that there is an ongoing police investigation and a suspicion of suicide.
