Jonathan Saunders won gold as far as I'm concerned. I loved the risks he took with color and the volume of his skirts. Some have been saying it's impractical for a ready to wear collection- who could wear his designs to work? I would. I most definitely would. Although his use of color was up a notch from most of the other shows, I think there is a way to style the pieces individually so that they are more demure. I was shocked by how much I loved the silhouettes at Lela Rose and couldn't get down with Lacoste or Proenza Schouler. And my verdict is still out on Marc Jacobs. Still, so much more to come!
